On Saturday February 21st several Eden Band students went to the UIL Solo and Ensemble contest at Abilene Wiley.

Emma Sperry earned a Division I Superior rating on a memorized Class 1 solo and qualified for the Texas State Solo and Ensemble competition.

The clarinet trio composed of Hena Bhakta, Rylinn Robertson, and Emma Sperry also earned a Division I Superior rating on a Class 1 trio and qualified for the Texas State Solo and Ensemble competition.

MaKenna Haynes competed with a Class 2 solo and earned a Division 2 Excellent rating.

Each of these students competed exceptionally well. A big congratulations to all, and especially our Texas State Solo and Ensemble qualifiers!

Boys basketball playoff information. Menard - Garden City will play at 6pm. The gym will not be cleared between games, one admission price covers both games.

The Bulldogs won tonight, finishing the season at 11-1, tied with Menard for District 12-A Co-Champions.

The Bulldogs will face Menard at Junction to determine the 1st / 2nd seed for the 1A-D1 playoffs on Thursday, February 19th at 6:00pm.

Eden will be the visiting team. Gate will be $5 for adults & $3 for students and District 12 & Coaches passes will be accepted.

Once this game has been completed, we will follow up with Bi-District Playoff details.

The athletic schedule for this upcoming week is attached.  We could see afternoon practice changes based on the outcome of the girls basketball playoff game, as well as the tiebreaker situation for boys basketball.  We will push notifications of practice changes/cancellations on Sportsyou.

Due to interim testing, 1st period will begin at 7:45am every day this week.

FCCLA Week Day 3 is about celebrating National FCS Educator Day! FCCLA Week Day 2 is focused on service. Service is at the heart of FCCLA. Our chapter is proud to stay involved in our community and give back whenever we can. From hosting a Veterans Day celebration, donating to WILD and West Texas Rehab, helping with weekly food distribution, buying gifts for our local nursing home, and supporting events like National Night Out and so much more. Just a reminder: On Monday, February 9th we will have our Spring Sports parent-athlete meeting at 6pm in the Cafetorium. We will hear a presentation for athletics fundraising from Team Funded, then will have a brief meeting about JH & HS spring sports - as well as some discussion about the new alignments and what we can best do to help our programs continue to grow & increase our chances of success in the upcoming alignment. We encourage parents of current 5th grade students who plan on participating in athletics to come as well, as our current participation numbers indicate that we will have 6th grade students eligible to participate in athletics in the 2026-27 school year.
