More bad weather is predicted for tonight. Internet and phone service is also down at school. Eden CISD will have a bad weather day on Wednesday, Feb17.
For Tuesday, Feb. 16:
We are fortunate in Eden that most of our students and many of our staff live within the city limits. Also, we have electricity and water, unlike many school districts around us.
Elementary students will have in-person learning at school with a late start at 10am. Elementary teachers will send home short packets for at-home learning in the event that we cannot have school on Wednesday due to bad weather.
Secondary students (grades 6-12) will have a virtual learning day and will be required to check into their classes on their laptop. Because of the number of MS/HS staff who live outside of Eden and the lack of substitute teachers, we will not have enough staff to adequately supervise secondary students.
No buses will run on Tuesday. Students who cannot make it to school will be excused for their absence.
In the event that the campuses are without power on Tuesday, we will cancel school and notify parents as soon as possible.
Eden HS basketball games for Tuesday, Feb 16:
Final district game for the boys @ Menard, 3pm
Bi-district playoff game for the girls vs Blackwell @ Winters, 4pm
Both the girls and boys basketball games scheduled for today have been postponed due to inclement weather and poor road conditions. Once games have been rescheduled, we will post that information.
Tickets purchased for both games thru Eventbrite will be saved.
The Eden High School Prom has been rescheduled!!!!!!!!
Eden CISD has made the decision to postpone prom and reschedule for Saturday, March 6th.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but ultimately student and staff safety have to be our primary concern.

Right now, we are planning on having Prom as scheduled.
We will make a final decision around 12:00pm tomorrow (2/12).

Boys basketball update:
The boys game time with Panther Creek has been moved to 3:30 tomorrow here in Eden.
The Lady Bulldogs bi-district playoff game has been moved to Friday, Feb 12, at 3pm at Winters HS.
Eden CISD is closed due to bad weather today 2/11/21. There will be no classes.
Eden CISD will have a 10am start on Thursday, Feb 11. Buses will run 2 hrs late.

Eden CISD Early Dismissal:
