As football season begins, below is a reminder about sportsmanship at school sporting events. Fans are expected to follow the guidelines set out by the sports official association and the UIL and treat officials with respect. Without officials, our students cannot participate in sporting events. Our student-athletes deserve to hear positive support from the stands. Thanks for your help.

Over the weekend, Eden CISD was made aware of alleged concerning statements made by a student. The Concho County Sheriff's Office investigated the claims and deemed the allegations as unfounded and not a credible threat to the district. We would like to thank our local law enforcement partners for their assistance during the investigation. We always encourage students and parents to report knowledge about threats, credible or not, immediately. At the top of the Eden CISD webpage, the STOPit link takes users directly to the reporting form.  Parents, please visit with your child about the importance of reporting threats. Students should report suspicious behavior rather than sharing it on social media. Thank you for your help and for partnering with us in the education of our students and their safety.

Eden CISD Student Drop off & pick up reminders: Elementary students (PK thru gr 5) are dropped off and picked up along Kelly Street facing north in the designated pick-up lane. Secondary students (grades 6-12) are dropped off and picked up along Tillman Street facing east in the designated pick-up lane. To keep our students and staff safe, parent parking is not allowed in district parking lots during drop-off and pick-up times. These traffic patterns were established with the guidance of the Concho County Sheriff's Office and were created to keep our children safe. Thanks for your cooperation, and we'll see you at school!

3 important facts about school attendance: 1. Being absent in the first month of school can predict poor attendance for the rest of the year. 2. By 6th grade, chronic absenteeism is a leading indicator of students dropping out of high school. 3. Research shows that missing 10% of the school year (about 15 days) negatively impacts your student's achievement. Thanks for your help in getting your child to school every day!
