Bulldog Bulletin

As we look back on the fall semester, many successes come to mind. Our elementary students have grown so much, both academically and physically! When measuring reading skills, our kiddos have shown real improvement in their comprehension and fluency. Also, at the district UIL competition this month, our students placed and won several events.

Our junior high students have experienced lots of success, too. Their participation in band, football, cheer, cross country and basketball have given them many opportunities to compete and succeed. In the classroom, the students are making gains to offset the learning loss that occurred during the 2020 shutdowns.

In high school, our attendance rate has increased significantly since August. When students are at school, they can learn the material that's required and help guarantee they graduate on time. The successes in the classroom are matched with the successes in our extracurricular activities. Six new members were inducted into the National Honor Society. Our band had a terrific marching season, just barely missing out on the state competition. Kayli qualified for the state cross country meet and ran well at that competition. Our football season was a success, and our cheerleaders put in countless hours to help with school spirit. Basketball season is off to a great start for both the boys' and girls' teams.

As we take a moment to celebrate the fall success and prepare for the busy spring, we want to thank our staff for their hard work and dedication to our students. Without them, our district would be just mediocre, not great. Our staff goes above and beyond for the children of Eden every day.

Have a safe and happy holiday season! See you back here in January!
