A Reflection of the Band's Achievements this School Year
The Eden Bulldog Band began a new year with new challenges, new changes, and a new director.
The Big Blue Band put on a marching show during football season and supported Eden Bulldog Football through each of its games. During this time, our students auditioned for ATSSB All-Region Honor Bands.
Those placing in the bands were as follows:
Alejandro Carrion, 2nd Chair Honors; advanced to Area
Faith Matias, 4th Chair Concert; advanced to Area
Jacob Moreno, 4th Chair Symphonic
Emma Sperry, 3rd Chair Honors
Eden Band students participated in UIL Solo and Ensemble, receiving first division ratings across the board. Our Saxophone Trio (Faith M., Moses L., and Abigail C.) and our Clarinet Trio (Hanna E., Regan G., and Kayli H.) traveled to Abilene at Wylie HS to perform at this event.
Finally, the Bulldog Band participated in our much-anticipated UIL Concert and Sight Reading Evaluation in Ballinger, TX. There, they were evaluated by three judges in their concert program. They performed pieces "Huron Bay March," "Conviction," and "Colliding Visions," by Gorham, Clark, and Balmages, respectively. The Band received a First Division rating on stage and for sight reading!
As the school year nears its end, we would like to invite you to check out the Spring Concert for 5th and 6th grade beginners , and the Eden Bulldog Band. They will be performing their UIL contest pieces as well as a special performance of the music from "The Lion King." Please join us online and/or in person on April 15th for this cap-off, end of year concert!
