News

Dear Parents and Community Members,

I am pleased to share some positive news regarding Eden CISD’s 2025 A–F Accountability ratings.

Earlier this fall, Eden CISD submitted an appeal to the Texas Education Agency (TEA) after identifying errors in the state’s reporting of our College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) data. TEA conducted a full review of our appeal, including analysis by agency staff and an independent appeals panel.

We are happy to announce that TEA has granted our appeal, and Eden CISD’s overall rating has been officially revised from a 69 (D) to an 87 (B).

This change reflects corrected PEIMS data from the 2023–2024 school year and more accurately represents the work happening in our classrooms. Several accountability domains—Student Achievement, School Progress, and Closing the Gaps—saw significant scaled-score increases as a result of TEA’s review.

In addition, because our rating moved into the acceptable range, Eden CISD has now earned Distinction Designations in Academic Achievement in Science and Social Studies.

These improvements highlight the dedication of our teachers, students, and staff. We are incredibly proud of the effort that led to this outcome and remain firmly committed to continuous growth and academic excellence.

The updated ratings will appear on state public reporting platforms, including TXschools.gov, beginning December 11, 2025, but we wanted to share this good news with you as soon as possible.

Thank you for your continued support of our district and our students. Working together, we are building a stronger Eden CISD.

Sincerely,
Matt Odom
Superintendent, Eden CISD
