Eden CISD was recently approved by the Texas Education Agency to participate in the Teacher Incentive Allotment program. The Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) was created by the Texas Legislature as part of House Bill 3 to provide a pathway for top teachers to earn six-figure salaries and to help attract and retain highly effective teachers at traditionally hard-to-staff schools.
Teachers can earn designations of Recognized ($7500), Exemplary ($15,000), or Master Teachers ($27,000) using student growth data and teacher evaluation scores.
Now that the Eden CISD application is approved, the district will use the 2023-24 school year to collect teacher evaluation data. Once the data is approved, Eden CISD teachers can earn one of the three designations during the 2024-25 school year. The TIA program will enable the district to attract and retain high-quali teachers in our rural community.
