Career & Technical Education
The Career and Technical Education programs of study offer students a coherent sequence of courses in select technical fields preparing students for life in the workforce. Students have the opportunity to participate in technical dual credit, work-based learning, industry based certifications, and student leadership organizations.
Programs of Study
Eden CISD offers the following programs of study. Each program provides junior and senior students with advanced coursework as they prepare for further education in their selected fields.
Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services
Technical Dual Credit
CTE students can earn dual credit hours through Howard College. We currently offer several technical dual credit courses taught by Howard College instructors.
Certifications
State approved industry-based certifications are offered through our CTE programs of study. Currently, students have the opportunity to become certified in multiple areas, including the American Welding Society and Educational Aide I.
Student Organizations
Students can participate in FCCLA, a Student Leadership Organizations (SLOs) within our CTE courses. Within this organization, students may elect to compete in individual or group activities at the regional level with an opportunity to advance to state and national competition. Eden CISD has students successfully participate in national competition each year. Such activities provide students with real-world application and life experiences in addition to scholarship opportunities.
