First, we would like to thank our parents and community at large for their patience during these trying times. With the magnitude of this issue, we must continue to act locally, doing our part, to reduce the spread of the virus.
Eden CISD has been in constant contact with state, regional and local authorities in regards to the COVID-19 state emergency. The Texas Department of State Health Services says that the next two weeks will be critical in slowing the spread of the virus.
To that end, Eden CISD will continue to close campuses from Monday, March 23, until Friday, April 3. We will begin the transition to home-based learning on March 23. Parents will soon be notified about how to pick up materials for their students through social media and the district web site. We will also continue to offer meals to our students throughout this closure so long as parents are interested.
Parents, as your students do their school work, please know that you can reach out to your child's teacher at any time during our regular school day hours (8am until 3:30pm) and teachers will be available to help your child. Teachers will get back to you within the hour if you contact them during regular school hours, and the next business day outside of normal school hours. When you pick up materials next week, you will find out how to best communicate with our staff. Our classroom teachers are here to help!
We will continue to update our families and community as our situation evolves. ###
